Cancellation & Protection Policies

Cancellation policy

Cancellations require an absolute minimum notice of 48 hours. It is challenging and oftentimes impossible to fill an appointment opening without significant notice. Please understand that the firmness on this matter doesn’t come from a lack of sympathy.

Rather, this industry is such it costs the artist when an individual doesn’t show up or give adequate notice. When that scenario occurs multiple times a month, week, day it compounds and creates serious instability for the artist. When clients cancel an appointment with short notice for any reason, even due to an event that’s out of your control, artists end up paying for the appointment by loss of income.

For this reason, we maintain a fee of 50% of the original appointment cost for those cancelled within 48 hours of their scheduled time. No-shows and same day cancellations incur a 100% fee.

Rescheduling

Repetitive rescheduling of an appointment is disruptive to the artist’s schedule. As such, rescheduling more than once requires a fee of 50% of the appointment cost.

Rescheduling within 48 hours of the appointment time is considered a cancellation. While the intention to rebook is truly appreciated, it creates an opening that could have been filled by someone else and results in the same issue of lost income.

Credit card holds

We require a credit card on-file in order to hold an appointment time. Credit card information is held by a third party and is encrypted. Studio Meraki does not have access to view this information. Credit cards are held simply as protection against no-shows and late cancellations and will not be charged without warning.
