Everybody loves a dupe

4 high end & 4 affordable alternatives

I’ve done my fair share of trying brow products at this point, and let me tell you, there are some gems out there. There are also some steaming piles of garbage, but we’re all about staying positive here people! Unless someone cuts us off in traffic… then we unleash the fury. Pure and unadulterated. I digress.

Over the years and trialling various products (feeding a ravenous addiction sounds much less wholesome), I’ve settled on some favourites. Many of those favourites come with a higher price tag but, fear not, I’m also quite a Frugal Franny at heart. I love me an affordable counterpart. So I’m here to present you with high-end goodies and their drugstore, dare I say it, dupes:

  1. Refy Brow Gel or Got2Be Spiking Glue

Two very different vessels as the Got2Be spiking glue is actually a hair gel. But pop some on a clean spoolies, and it will lock your brows in place like there’s no tomorrow.

  2. Anastasia Brow Freeze or Elf Brow Lift

Two almost indistinguishable products. Both will give your brows a slick, laminated appearance.

  3. Amaterasu Liquid Brow Liner or NYX Lift and Snatch Brow Pen

Not so much a dupe, but both fantastic. The Amaterasu is truly unique. It’s an incredibly user-friendly pen that allows you to build up gradually. NYX offers a version that is also lovely but takes a little more practice. I find you’ll get finer and likely more pigmented hair strokes from this one.

  4. Anastasia Brow Wiz or Nyx Brow Pencil

Both pencils have the ideal texture in my mind. They run more stiff and dry than other pencils. This gives you more control in building up slowly and allows for hair-like strokes.
